Venusly Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Venusly handles information when you use the app. It is written for the app experience and should match the public privacy policy URL used in Google Play.

Information we collect

Venusly may collect account information such as your email address, onboarding answers such as name, birth date, birth time, birthplace, relationship context, sketch preferences, app settings, purchase status, and generated reading history.

How we use it

We use this information to create and save your soulmate sketch experience, personalize readings, restore premium access, improve app reliability, and provide support.

Services we use

We use Supabase for authentication, database and storage, RevenueCat for subscriptions and purchase status, OpenAI or xAI to write the text of a paid reveal, Replicate to draw the sketch image for a paid reveal, Google Maps for birthplace search, and PostHog for anonymous product analytics that tell us which screens work.

Analytics

Product analytics are tied to a random identifier the app generates on your device, never to your name, email, or your exact birth date, time or place. As well as which screens you reach and whether a purchase succeeded, they include a few of your answers — who you asked us to draw, your relationship status, and whether you gave a birth time and birthplace — so we can see where the flow works and where it loses people. Analytics are never used for advertising and are never sold.

Your generated sketch

When you unlock a reveal, your answers are sent to our reveal service, which writes the reading and draws the sketch. The finished sketch is stored on our servers at an unlisted address so it is still there when you reopen the app, filed under the random identifier your device generated rather than under your name. It is not listed or published anywhere, never sold, and is deleted when you use "Delete account and data" in Settings.

Camera and photos

The palm reading lets you take or choose a photo of your hand. The photo is shown on your device during the reading and is not uploaded to Venusly or to any third party. Camera access is only requested at the moment you choose to take that photo.

Notifications

If you enable whispers, Venusly schedules a daily reminder on your device. Nothing is sent to a server, and you can turn reminders off at any time in Settings or in your system settings.

Payments

Purchases are processed by Google Play, Apple, and RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

AI and entertainment

Venusly is an entertainment app. Readings, sketches, astrology-style signals, lucky numbers, and relationship insights are not professional advice or guaranteed predictions.

Children

Venusly is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 provided personal information, we will take steps to delete it.

Deleting your data

Open Settings and tap "Delete account and data". This clears everything Venusly stored on this device — your name, birth details, saved readings and answers — and deletes the sketches stored on our servers for your device. If you have an account it deletes that too. It cannot be undone. It does not cancel a subscription — cancel that in Google Play.

How long we keep things

Your account, readings and sketches are kept until you delete them, or until you ask us to. Anonymous analytics are retained for up to 24 months. Deletion requests are actioned within 30 days.

Your choices

You can delete your account and data at any time from Settings, and you can request access or correction by contacting us. You can also restore purchases from Settings.
